‘God’s Been Calling Me’: Kanye West Reveals More at Lakewood Church

Kanye West new found love for Christ is one of the biggest news trending at the moment. The iconic American rapper who recently launched his long-awaited album “Jesus is King” continued his mission to take his initiative “Sunday Service” experience to all parts of the world when he gave a lengthy speech and ministered with his choir at Joel’s Osteen Lakewood’s Church this past Sunday.

In a lengthy discussion with the Host Pastor as he shared his testimony with the large crowd in attendance, Kanye said;

“God’s been calling me for a long time and the devils been distracting me for a long time,” West revealed in front of his wife Kim Kardashian West and daughter North West.

“When I was in my lowest points, God was there with me and sending me visions and inspiring me, and I remember sitting in the hospital at UCLA after having a mental breakdown and there’s documentation of me drawing a church and wanting to start a church in the middle of Calabasas,” he added, referring to his hospitalization in 2016 during his Saint Pablo tour.

“Even after that I made the Life of Pablo album and said this is a gospel album. I didn’t know how to totally make a gospel album and the Christians that were around were too beaten into submission by society to not speak up and profess the gospel to me because I was a superstar. But the only superstar is Jesus,” he said.

“All of that arrogance, and confidence and cockiness that y’all seen me use before God is now using for Him,” West said to cheers and excitement from the 17,000 people in attendance.

West has been deliberately vocal in recent months about his conversion to Christianity and how God has been steadily guiding him. Sunday’s concert at the Lakewood Church was open to fans of all faiths, with his choir doing justice to different rendition in the evening service for the day.
