Meanwhile, Grammy-Award-winning gospel artist and Pastor, Tye Tribbett also reacted to the news with a live-recorded video of himself posted on his Instagram page.

Expressing his thoughts while speaking from a Biblical standpoint, Tye had no words of condemnation for Kanye and in fact, said he is praying for him, but that the trend with the “Donda” album taking over the gospel chart isn’t a surprise to him.

In his own words; “…it’s gonna be like that because this is the world we live in. Sensationalism is King. The more hype that surrounds you, the more support you get sometimes. That’s how the world works but that’s not how the Kingdom works. We are not gonna get certain accolades that others people (I believe he meant non-Gospel artists) get and we gotta be cool with that.”

He further expressed the fact that oftentimes, Gospel artists also want to get the hype and acceptance that the world gets and they want to get ambitious but that’s not how it’s supposed to be. “Sensationalism, money is King and God and Gospel music does not have the same support and resources as mainstream has…we are not of this world…we are children of the Light in a dark world and we’re not just different but opposite.” Tribbett wrote

Tye Tribbet called it Bold and Big and said his prayers go out to Kanye West and also asked that the body of believers come together rather than finding ways to separate into different schools of thought and factions.
