Hip Hop icon, record producer, and rapper Kanye West notches his 10th NO. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart as his newly-released body of work, Donda, debuts atop the list with the year’s biggest week for any album: 309,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. dated Sept. 2, according to MRC Data.  This new feat makes Kanye one of only seven artists with at least 10 No. 1 albums in the 65-year history of the Billboard 200 chart.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

Donda” which marks West’s 10th studio album, is named after his late mother Donda West. It’s a follow-up to his critically acclaimed “Jesus is King” released on October 25, 2019.
