Gospel Music Icon and Grammy Award-winning Artist Kirk Franklin continues to spread love, hope, and faith, setting the pace for global outreach with the gospel of Christ. The veteran music composer and director teams up with “The Compassion Youth Choir,” the voices of youths living in poverty around the world which is represented by Compassion International, to release a new version of his classic hit “Lean on Me” which was originally released in 1998.

After several months of work, rehearsals, and virtual auditions, Kirk Franklin’s dedicated assignment with 120 youths from all 25 countries in Compassion’s child development program resulted in Lean on Me (Worldwide Mix).  

I am humbled that Compassion would consider me to partner with them for such an amazing project! Working with the children in the #CompassionChoir has truly blessed me,” revealed Kirk in a special tribute on YouTube. “Being able to be a part of so many intricate stories, all leading to the edification of kingdom building. To all of the @Compassion youth, I want to say publicly that you are so hard-working, talented, and beautiful. I can’t wait to work with you again!” he enthused.

Available to stream/download on all digital platforms, proceeds from the sales of the new version of “Lean on Me” is set to “Compassion” one of the world’s leading authorities in holistic child development through sponsorship who are advocates for children and committed to Jesus Christ in all that that they do, with a special aim to release children from Poverty through Christ.
