Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s New Album “ROYALTY” Tops Billboard Chart, Debut Album Goes Gold

Ever since the top-selling “Heart. Passion. Pursuit” album in 2017, music lovers globally have been anticipating the next full-length project from the GRAMMY®-winning recording artist, Tasha Cobbs Leonard. The long wait ended with the newly released album from the powerhouse songstress titled “Royalty: Live At The Ryman,” available today on all digital platforms.

The acclaimed new project, accompanied by striking live performance videos, is already being called the singer’s most vulnerable and mature recording to date.

Taking to Instagram to express joy and gratitude on the latest feat, Tasha wrote – “It’s hard to believe you have a choice and daily you choose me… In Spite of Me” ? … Thank you all for your love and support over this decade! Thank you for allowing me to grow right in front of you! Thank you for allowing me to be true to who I am and what I’m called to do. Royalty Live is the documentary of my life with Christ ❤️?.”

Recorded before “an audience of One”, Royalty: Live at the Ryman features standout hits “Pour It Out” and “Release The Sound,” as well as the lead single, “In Spite of Me.” Guest artists on the project include longtime friend and collaborator Kierra Sheard as well as popular family band We The Kingdom. Throughout the 17-track project, Tasha merges her country, bluegrass, and gospel music roots to present an authentic worship experience. The full album is available digitally here today.

Meanwhile, Top executives from Motown Gospel have taken Tasha Cobbs Leonard by surprise with the news that her debut album, “Grace,” has been certified Gold by the RIAA, having sold over 500,000 units. Released in 2013, Grace is a fan favorite, featuring top charting hits such as “For Your Glory,” and the popular worship anthem “Break Every Chain,” which earned a Grammy and was certified Platinum (with over 1 million song equivalents) in 2019.
