Adeyinka R. Akinyemi, popularly known as Adeyinka Alaseyori, remains one of the most influential voices in contemporary Nigerian gospel music. Her unique ability to blend indigenous Yoruba worship with passionate praise and deep spiritual messages has distinguished her within the gospel music landscape. As a result, she has become a beloved figure among worshippers both within Nigeria and across the world.
Her stage name, Alaseyori, was inspired by her debut album, “Alaseyori Mi,” released in 2012. Since then, the name has become synonymous with powerful worship encounters, energetic praise sessions, and music that inspires faith and gratitude. Over the years, her ministry has continued to grow, touching lives through songs that celebrate God’s goodness and sovereignty.
A native of Ondo State in southwestern Nigeria, Adeyinka rose to prominence through hit songs such as Arojinle and Aye Ope Yo. These songs not only showcased her remarkable vocal abilities but also highlighted her gift for communicating profound spiritual truths through indigenous sounds and culturally rich worship expressions.
Throughout her career, she has released several impactful albums, including Alaseyori Mi, Alaabo Mi, Arojinle, and Aye Ope Yo. Each project has further strengthened her position as a minister dedicated to spreading the gospel through music and worship.
Today, Adeyinka Alaseyori is widely regarded as one of the defining voices of a new generation of gospel ministers. Through consistency, authenticity, and divine inspiration, she has helped reshape perceptions of gospel music ministry both in Nigeria and internationally. Her influence continues to extend beyond music as she inspires countless young ministers to pursue excellence while remaining committed to their spiritual calling.
Born in Lagos as the first of four children to Hon. Adeshina Adesioye and Mrs. Funmilayo Ogunfunwa, Adeyinka’s passion for God emerged at an early age. Even as a child, she displayed an unusual zeal for ministry and evangelism. At just eight years old, she ministered on convention buses traveling across different parts of Nigeria, sharing songs of faith and encouragement with fellow believers. Therefore, many have described her as a child evangelist whose calling became evident long before she entered the spotlight.
Her educational journey began at Holy Trinity Nursery and Primary School in Ebute Meta before she proceeded to Methodist Girls High School in Sabo, Yaba. She later obtained a National Diploma in Accounting from Lagos State Polytechnic and is currently completing her Bachelor of Science degree at the National Open University of Nigeria.
Before fully embracing music ministry, Adeyinka worked as a nursery school teacher and an account clerk in different organizations. However, her passion for worship and her commitment to God’s calling eventually led her to leave those roles and devote herself entirely to gospel music.
Between 2010 and 2011, she officially launched her ministry through the Halleluyah Praise Team. Shortly afterward, she recorded and released her debut album, “Alaseyori Mi,” in December 2012. That project not only introduced her to a wider audience but also laid the foundation for a thriving ministry that continues to impact lives today.
Beyond her music career, Adeyinka serves as the convener of the widely attended 21 Days Covenant Worship, a virtual worship gathering that brings together gospel ministers from across Nigeria for extended periods of prayer, worship, revival, and spiritual renewal. Through this platform, thousands of believers have experienced moments of transformation and deeper intimacy with God.
Despite her demanding schedule and growing influence, she remains devoted to her family. She is happily married to Prince Akinyemi Ademola David of the Ako ruling house in Imesi Ile, Osun State. Their marriage is blessed with two children, a son and a daughter, and together they continue to build a home centered on faith, love, worship, and service to God.
As Adeyinka Alaseyori celebrates another year today, her story remains a testament to God’s grace, faithfulness, and divine purpose. Her birthday message serves as a reminder that gratitude remains one of the most powerful expressions of worship. For the celebrated minister, every new year is not merely a personal milestone but another opportunity to say, “Thank You, Jesus,” for a life marked by mercy, favor, protection, and countless blessings.
