Gospel legend, Kirk Franklin recently took to a video post on social media to boldly address the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery, 25, who was gunned down while jogging in the Brunswick area of Georgia earlier this year. The Grammy-award winning artist clamors for all not to forget yet another pandemic in the country, Race.

“To those who continue to minimize the reality of our country’s original and ongoing sin, I encourage you to watch the video of the murdering of 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery,” Kirk Franklin said following recently-released footage of the shooting which went viral. “I need you to see the video. Digest it. Embrace the trauma.”

“…There are good people in the world, Every race, every gender, every nationality. And those that are strong should bear the infirmities of the weak.” Continues.

“So while we fight to find a vaccine to help us survive a new future we all face, let us continue to fight the virus of evil with the vaccine of Love. Happy 26th birthday Arbery, let Love and Justice prevail.”
