How Coronavirus Humbled the World and Turned Many to Prayer Warriors

What seems like a one-off disease that will appear for a short period and vanish away as turned out to be the most feared active killer by the universe. The novel coronavirus has forced the world to go on a compulsory holiday and for the first time in many countries, the earth can take a breather from the immense congestion of human activities.

As at the time of writing this piece several cases and death as a result of COVID-19 has been recorded. However, over 300,000 people have recovered meaning there is a big hope for the world.

Nobody planned for the beginning of a new decade to turn out this way, the world has been humbled, even regular terrorists have ceased their operations, Presidents and Prime Ministers are beginning to seek for help from each other, majority of the power-house nations are on a lock-down and for the first time in a long while every individual in the world has automatically become a prayer warrior seeking for quick and divine intervention to eliminate COVID-19.

Christians, Everyone has developed a unified prayer point on their lips, calling on the Supreme God to put an end to the most feared disease on the Earth. If you think there’s no positive lesson to take from the effects of COVID-19, then I’m glad to inform you that you’re wrong. Unity, Humility and a Praying habit are the visible goodies from this pandemic crisis.

Humans all over the world have now united to combat the spread of the virus, abandoning sentiments, race, color or beliefs. Even the mighty have mastered the art of humility not forgetting the poor who have now realized we are all equal. The final lesson has to be prayer, the world has now learned how to pray all of a sudden, calling on one God to put an end to the needless death, hunger, and negativity that seems to crash the Earth.

Above all, the greater lesson to learn is that the world will end one day, in the words of Mike Bamiloye, the respected Gospel movie actor from Nigeria; “Only One Plague and the World Government was humbled, the World Powers were confused, Only One Plague and everyone is hiding away. Indeed this is just a dress rehearsal! And someday the world will come to an end. If you belong to the group of people that believe the world will never end and life after the earth is a mere fantasy or fallacy, i respect your opinion, but kindly be reminded that you’re not the owner of your soul and one day the creator will request for its property.”

As the world continues to eagerly seek a lasting solution to COVID-19, do not forget the simple lessons this period has taught us, “we’re definitely pencils in the hand of the creator”. There is hope for the world and definitely this period will pass, COVID-19 Crisis will become history and the world will be a better place.
