Kirk Franklin Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary of “The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin” Album

Kirk Franklin is celebrating a momentous milestone!
On Saturday, the legendary gospel singer commemorated the two-decade-long success of his chart-topping album “The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin”.
“APPY 20th ANNIVERSARY to the album that gave me new life!!!!! After THE FAMILY and GODS PROPERTY, I was lost…. I feared the best was in my rearview mirror. Then one morning I looked at my wife’s beautiful belly carrying our child, and God gave me this song. Thank you Jesus for my REBIRTH,” Kirk wrote on Instagram, along with a 1-min clip of the album’s major hit, Hosanna.

‘The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin’ which marked Kirk’s seventh album, featuring hits “Don’t Cry,” “Brighter Day” and “Hosanna,” was released on February 19, 2002, via GospoCentric Records, LLC. The project was recorded live at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.
