Pastor E.A Adeboye & Wife Celebrate 59th Wedding Anniversary

Revered General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, have celebrated 59 years of marriage with heartfelt gratitude to God.

The respected Christian couple marked the remarkable wedding anniversary on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Their celebration has since drawn warm messages from family, church members, Christian leaders and well wishers who continue to admire their long standing marriage and commitment to ministry.

For Pastor Enoch Adeboye, popularly known as Daddy G.O, the anniversary represents more than six decades of shared memories. It also reflects a journey shaped by faith, sacrifice, prayer, family, ministry and an enduring commitment to one another.

Taking to social media to express his undiluted joy, Daddy G.O as he is fondly called penned;

“Today, we look back with grateful hearts as we celebrate 59 years of marriage.

It feels like yesterday that we began this journey together. Through the years, we have experienced seasons of joy, challenges, growth, answered prayers and countless reasons to give God thanks.

We have learnt that marriage is not just about the beautiful moments. It is about choosing each other every day, giving room for growth, showing patience, forgiving, praying together and trusting God through every season.

Above all, we are grateful that God has been at the centre of our home. Every step of the way, He has remained faithful.

As we celebrate 59 years together, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving to God and appreciation for everyone who has loved, prayed for and supported us and our family over the years.

We are grateful for the journey so far, and we look forward to all that God still has in store.

To God be all the glory.

With love,

Pastor Enoch and Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye

59 Years and still grateful”

The message captures the heart of the couple’s anniversary celebration. Rather than focusing only on the number of years, Pastor Adeboye points to the lessons that have shaped their relationship.

He speaks about joy, challenges, growth and answered prayers. He also highlights patience, forgiveness and the daily decision to choose one another. Most importantly, he gives credit to God for remaining at the centre of their home throughout the journey.

That message also connects strongly with the values often expressed through Christian worship. The idea that God knows, guides and remains close to His people runs through many gospel songs and prayers. In the same way, the Adeboyes’ anniversary message points to a marriage sustained by faith and trust in God.

Their 59 year journey also reflects a powerful testimony about companionship. Through changing seasons, public responsibilities and the demands of ministry, the couple have continued to build their lives around shared faith and family.

For many people within the Christian community, their marriage has become an example of commitment. Their story shows that a lasting relationship requires more than celebration during good times. It also requires patience during difficult seasons and the willingness to keep walking together.

Pastor Adeboye’s words place particular emphasis on this reality. He notes that marriage is not only about beautiful moments. Instead, he points to the daily choices that help couples grow together.

Prayer remains another important part of the message. The couple’s reference to praying together reflects the central role of faith in their family life. It also reinforces the belief that marriage can become stronger when both partners continue to seek God through every season.

The lyrics of many Christian worship songs speak about God walking with His people, holding their hands and giving them strength. That same sense of divine companionship appears in the Adeboyes’ anniversary reflection. Their celebration is ultimately a testimony of how they believe God has walked with them throughout 59 years.

Their gratitude also extends beyond their personal relationship. Pastor Adeboye acknowledged the people who have supported, loved and prayed for their family over the years. That appreciation highlights the wider community that has surrounded the couple throughout their marriage and ministry journey.

Over the decades, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Pastor Folu Adeboye have remained closely associated with the growth and global influence of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Their ministry has reached millions of people across Nigeria and beyond, while their family life has remained an important part of their public testimony.

As they celebrate this latest milestone, the couple are not simply looking back. Their message also looks ahead with expectation for what God still has in store for them.

The phrase “59 Years and still grateful” captures the mood of the occasion. It reflects a heart of thanksgiving after nearly six decades together and a continued belief that their journey is still unfolding.

Since the announcement, several congratulatory messages have poured in for the iconic pastor and his wife. Many have celebrated their endurance, partnership and continued commitment to the gospel of Christ through their ministry.

The anniversary has also provided an opportunity for many admirers to celebrate the couple’s legacy beyond their individual roles. Their marriage has remained part of the story of their ministry, family and service to the Christian faith.

As Pastor Enoch and Pastor Folu Adeboye mark 59 years together, their celebration offers a simple but powerful message. A lasting marriage grows through love, patience, forgiveness, prayer and trust in God.

After 59 years, the couple continue to give God the glory for the journey so far. They also look forward with gratitude and faith to the years ahead.
