This year, in anticipation of Mother’s Day, Sam Adebanjo has teamed up with award winning producer, singer and songwriter RoofTop Mc Snatcha and Shabach Beautiful Soundz to a tribute song dedicated to mothers and also in memory of Christy Uduak Essien-Igbokwe (11 November 1960 – 30 June 2011), considered Nigeria’s “Lady of Souls”, who puts Nigeria’s name on the world’s music map with the evergreen “Seun Rere.”
Adebanjo is the leader of DTWG, who has been nominated for and has won several awards, including the MOBO Awards, AGMA, BEFFTA and the Urban Music Award. Snatcha, featured on the track, is a member of one of the most popular Nigerian rap groups, Rooftop MCs.
