Legendary songstress Gloria Gaynor releases her much anticipated gospel album “TESTIMONY” (Gaither Music Group). The new LP comes as her most iconic hit, “I Will Survive,” turns 40 this year.
After decades spent as an international music icon, Testimony celebrates her faith, which has been an integral part of her journey both personally and professionally.
“We entitled the album Testimony because it truly is my testimony of what God has done for me in my life: His mercy, His love, His grace, His patience with us,” Gaynor tells PEOPLE.com, “and it just really tells about Him. It’s a testimony.”
Serving as her first gospel album, TESTIMONY features a combination of carefully-chosen classic hymns, self-penned songs, and a stirring cover of Bob Dylan’s “Man of Peace.”
