The One: Dee-1 & Jonathan McReynolds Team Up on New Song
New Orleans rapper Dee-1 releases yet another new track “The One” off his upcoming album “God and Girls”, and he features Grammy-nominated singer Jonathan McReynolds on this one.
“But if you choose to entertain, I will throw you off a plane
Not really, but I need a woman mentally strong
If you put David before God, that’s mentally wrong
God could show you how to love me in ways that I can’t” – Dee 1 raps in the song
The One comes barely a month after the release of “It Ain’t Safe” also off “God And Girls”.
Dee 1’s first studio album, David & Goliath, was released April 13, 2009. After signing with RCA Inspiration in 2013,he released his first EP, 3s Up, featuring six tracks and heralding Dee-1’s three-piece motto: Be Real. Be Righteous. Be Relevant. The EP peaked at No. 9 on Billboard‘s Top Rap Albums in 2015.
