‘Way Maker’: a Powerful Cover by Darlene Zschech & William McDowell

From the REVERE project, Integrity Music presents a new version of Sinach’s “Way Maker” fronted by one of Modern Worship pioneers, Darlene Zschech, and renowned worship leader William McDowell.

They’ve recently shared, “We’ve been singing it and we’ve heard it in different versions, but the best-kept secret about ‘Way Maker’ is that it was born in Nigeria. Our hope with the Revere version is to gently help steer the church away from a production culture where the emphasis can, mistakenly, become a love for worship, to a reverential culture where the focus is, clearly and firmly, a love for Christ.”

Originally recorded by Sinach in 2015, “Way Maker” is a popular anthem in churches around the world today and has been covered by notable international worship leaders including Mandisa, Passion, and Michael W. Smith whose version held the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Christian Airplay Chart for three weeks.
