Three time GRAMMY Award winner, 16 time Stellar Award winner and Billboard’s Gospel Artist of the Decade, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, has unveiled a powerful new live performance of “You Know My Name,” featuring gospel powerhouse Le’Andria Johnson, ahead of her forthcoming album, TASHA UNSCRIPTED.

The song offers another compelling preview of the 34 track live project, which arrives on September 11 through Motown Gospel and Capitol Christian Music Group. Captured before a live audience in Atlanta, the performance highlights the freedom, vulnerability and spontaneous worship that shape the heart of the new album.

From the opening moments, “You Know My Name” carries a deeply personal message about God’s intimate relationship with His people. The repeated declaration, “You know my name,” becomes the foundation of the performance, while the lyrics reflect the comfort of knowing that God walks, talks and remains close to His children.

The new release also arrives during a landmark period in Cobbs Leonard’s career. She recently received the prestigious Aretha Franklin Icon Award at the 41st Stellar Gospel Music Awards, recognising her influence, achievements and lasting contribution to gospel music.

The ceremony celebrated her career with a special tribute medley built around songs from her catalogue. Melvin Crispell III performed “For Your Glory,” Maranda Curtis delivered “Fill Me Up,” Bishop William Murphy performed “Break Every Chain,” while Kierra Sheard took on “Put A Praise On It.”

The four artists later joined together for a spirited praise break before Cobbs Leonard delivered an emotional acceptance speech. The moment added another major chapter to a career that continues to influence contemporary gospel and worship music around the world.

One week after the release of TASHA UNSCRIPTED, Cobbs Leonard will take the spirit of the album directly to audiences through the TASHA UNSCRIPTED NIGHTS TOUR. The tour begins on September 11 in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the opening night has already sold out.
