Tasha Cobbs Leonard Announces Debut Book “Do It Anyway” — Set for May Release!

Grammy Award-winning gospel sensation Tasha Cobbs Leonard is set to make her literary debut with the release of her first-ever book, “Do It Anyway,” slated for official availability on May 7, 2024. The book is currently open to pre-save on digital platforms.

In a dedicated Instagram video, Tasha shares the inspiration behind her upcoming book. She recounts a life-altering moment that occurred 18 years ago on January 19. After celebrating the Stellar Awards, the biggest night in gospel industry, and traveling home with other gospel celebrities, she received a phone call while her father was driving back to New Jersey. The call delivered the news that her father had suffered a heart attack, with the Grammy Awards just seven days away. Unfortunately, he later transitioned to Glory, profoundly shaping Tasha’s life.

She recalls her father’s last message, shared days before the incident, expressing that he would be present for the Stellar Awards but absent for the Grammy. Tasha interprets this as his final lesson to her: “Tasha, You’re gonna be going through a very challenging season, and one of the last lessons I want to leave with you is when it gets hard and when you’re facing resistance and you don’t understand, I want you to dig deep within your faith and ‘Do It Anyway.’”

Exploring the narratives woven into her book, Tasha emphasizes, “There are so many stories of my life that I can reflect on that my father, mother, or experiences taught me. You may have heard it through my tone and music, but now I want you to hear the stories behind it.” She concludes, “I want to share with you my new book, my first book, to celebrate his life. I challenge you to do it anyway.”
